Speed set to become more important in Google ranking

Google has just previewed its much anticipated upgrade to its search engine, codenamed Caffeine and promises that the new search tool will improve the speed, accuracy, size, and comprehensiveness of Google search. In an exclusive video interview with Web Pro News this week, Matt Cutts discusses how the speed at which your website loads looks set to become an increasingly important factor in how well it ranks in Google.

In the video Matt also mentions Google’s Page Speed tools, which you can install as an add on to Firefox, which enable you to analyse the speed at which a site loads and makes recommendations for improving it.
